Ethiopia is reputed to be the home of coffee - not just a barren, dry land, but a tropical jungle where coffee grows in wild gardens amongst other shade-giving trees. This Yirgacheffe coffee comes from the Oromia estate and has a fine floral taste and wonderful aroma.
A washed Yirgacheffe from the �home of coffee growing� or so it is argued. This coffee grows in tropical garden in jungle conditions with shade giving trees. We have chosen this coffee from the Oromia (famous from the film �Black Gold�) district, for its fine floral taste and wonderful aroma.
The benefits of Fairtrade to the farmers have been considerable. They have 4 schools and 4 health centres in the coops. They have their own bank, they have 3 sites for eco tourism with state of the art washing and pulping stations.
