When the British first brought tea plants from China to Ceylon (now known as Sri Lanka) back in 1824, little did they know they were starting something incredibly special. Almost 200 years later, Ceylon tea is highly prized and sought-after throughout the world, not just for its rich taste and aroma, but also for it's numerous health boosting qualities.

This particular strain of Ceylon tea is Green Organic, which is very similar to the Black and White variations of the same species, but has a much stronger and more prominent taste.
As well as having a stronger taste, Green Ceylon tea may also have more health benefits than other Ceylon varieties. As well as being anti-viral, antibacterial and full of antioxidants, Green Ceylon tea assists in weight-loss by speeding up the metabolic process! In addition to this, it also has an anti-inflammatory effect which can help reduce joint and muscle pains and aid in reducing the risk or arthritis development.

A smaller leaved black Ceylon tea. Stronger than orange pekoe, yet still suitable to be drunk black, with milk, or with lemon. Also blends well with other teas; a quarter Lapsang Souchong or flowered Jasmine blend are popular recommendations.
