In its peak flavour point you will enjoy a great body that engulfs the mouth with pure velvetiness and a strong presence of buttery tones and dark chocolate accent that is not repeated in the coffee growing world. The aftertaste lingers on with sweetness.
The Atienzas
Roberto Atienza and his wife Alba are fourth generation farmers descending from the Spanish immigrants who ventured up the Puerto Rico highlands. They have innovated in many aspects of coffee growing and processing, including one of the first USDA-sponsored natural filtration system for wet beneficio water, and the SCAA-sponsored study on high pitched sounds and their influence on growing yields. At Hacienda San Pedro, they have worked with many crops studying everything from orange groves to vegetables to cocoa. They are the proud parents of four professional children and host the best coffee tourism museum and caf in Puerto Rico.
